Need A Massage That’s So Good You Can Fall Asleep? Try St David’s Spa!
St David’s Hotel & Spa is a five-star hotel situated on Cardiff Bay, the hotel & spa overlooks Mermaid Quay and the Cardiff Bay Barrage.
I would describe the Spa as ‘super plushy’ rather than sterile. As we looked over Cardiff bay, we relaxed in our white fluffy dressing gowns and helped ourselves to the selection of hot and cold drinks. They had plenty of fresh fruit we could have chose from.
We were then greeted by our therapists and shown to the double treatment room. It was glorious. We both had a much-needed Decleor Muscle Aromatherapy full body massage. After the massage, the therapist sensed the tone perfectly and left us to unwind. We were then show the relaxation room, all equipped with wicker loungers, duvets and low lighting. There is an artificial fireplace where you can hear the crackling on wood burning – This was defiantly my favourite room, I could of stayed there all day!

Wow! A water corridor leading to swan neck fountains and hydro therapy spa pools. We spent more than a few hours working out our aches and pains with the different jets and plenty of time relaxing in the hot tub. When there’s a view over the bay like that, there’s really no reason to leave. They also have a fully equipped gym, but I didn’t check that out – this was all about the relaxing for me.
All that relaxing has made us hungry, what’s for dinner? For lunch we ate at the hotel’s wave restaurant. To start we had Carrot and Coriander soup with a warm crusty roll, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Then we were served a beautiful presented Berto Box which contained a wholemeal chicken salad wrap, side salad, couscous and a tiramisu for dessert. Lunch was light, delicious and just perfect.
Would I go back? In a blink of an eye! I enjoyed every moment of our time at the Spa. With Christmas around the corner this is a perfect gift for your loved ones. Book Now 02920 313081
